64% of Valladolid residents are satisfied with the municipal services

Valladolid citizens rate their municipal public services with 64% satisfaction, which represents the maintenance of the 2019 results. The number of dissatisfied also remains the same, rising from 23% to 22%. This results from the results of the IV Barometer of the satisfaction of public services promoted by the Urban Services Observatory (OSUR).

The service that receives the highest score is garbage collection, followed by water supply, transport and park and garden care, which they widely approve of. Street cleanliness is in last place with a 52/30 ratio between satisfied and dissatisfied.

These results place Valladolid in 18th place out of the 30 cities analyzed.

In a detailed analysis, the waste and waste collection service, with 70% satisfaction, is the most valued, up by 9 percentage points compared to the result recorded in 2019. The city thus ranks above of the national average. The number of dissatisfied is 20%. The frequency and provision of the waste collection service are the most appreciated aspects.

Water supply is, with 69%, the second most satisfied service, remaining compared to 2019. What they appreciate most is the quality of the water with 89% satisfied. The invoice issued by the public company providing the service is the worst rated aspect, but it has improved since 2019, with the satisfied / dissatisfied ratio of 57/27.

Public transport is the third service in order of evaluation, with 65% satisfaction, 6% more than in 2019. The number of dissatisfied rises to 27%, 13 percentage points more than in the previous Barometer, probably due to problems of traffic flow. The most appreciated aspect is the state of cleanliness and conservation of public transport with 79% satisfied. On the contrary, the worst point is the fluidity of vehicular traffic, with 50% dissatisfied.

The conservation of public spaces and the care of greenery dates back to 2019 data and manages to approve, going from 46% satisfied, to 65%, and recovering the records of 2018, despite the number of dissatisfied is 26%, 8 points percentages more than in 2019. The care of green areas is the most appreciated aspect with 66% satisfied, while the availability, condition and equipment of sports facilities is the worst evaluation point with 50% satisfied, even if it improves compared to 27% satisfied in 2019.

Finally, the street cleaning measure obtained 52% of positive opinions, since it improves by 1 point compared to the previous Barometer, and which is in line with the national average. The aspects most appreciated by the inhabitants of Valladolid are the cleaning of sidewalks and streets in the different areas, and the frequency with which street cleaning works are carried out in those areas, with 52 and 55% respectively. Cleaning pet droppings, as always, is the object with the worst value.

The results of this fourth edition of the Public Service Satisfaction Barometer are the result of a survey conducted by the ODC on 5,210 people, which seeks to reflect citizens’ opinion on municipal public services in the 30 most populated cities in the country: Madrid , Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Malaga, Murcia, Palma de Mallorca, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Bilbao, Alicante, Córdoba, Valladolid, Vigo, Gijón, L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Vitoria, A Coruña, Granada, Elche, Oviedo, Terrassa, Badalona, ​​Cartagena, Jerez de la Frontera, Sabadell, Móstoles, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Pamplona and Alcalá de Henares.
