57 KPK Alumni Including Johan Budi Support Novel et al about TWK

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

A total of 57 alumni of the Corruption Eradication Commission (NCP) also expressed concern over the chaos that occurred within the anti-corruption agency regarding the national wasasan test (TWK) as one of the assessments for the transfer of status to State Civil Apparatus (ASN).

They provide moral support for employees, whether qualified or not to become State Civil Apparatus (ASN). It is known, as a result of the enactment of Law 19/2019, KPK employees have now changed their status to ASN.

“On behalf of the alumni and friends, they express their sadness, concern and deep sorrow and wish to pray for the KPK, which truly has integrity,” said Nanang Farid Syam, a former adviser to the KPK Employee Forum, to reporters on Friday (28/5).

Nanang assesses that the anti-corruption agency, which is the biological child of the reform, is already dead.

This, he said, can be seen from the commitment of the state which is no longer serious about eradicating corruption.

“We no longer have standards of integrity values, no longer have standards of national insight,” he said.

He said trying to consolidate the dozens of names departed from the group owned by each alumni. For the previous two days, he explained, the problems faced by KPK employees were the topic of discussion for the alumni of the anti-corruption institution.

“Look, each alumni is then merged into WA [WhatsApp] group. So, the WA group consists of the leader of volume I Taufiequrachman Ruki until the last one who returns to the original institution such as the police, prosecutors, and others,” he said

“This is moral support, empathy, to friends who are struggling at the KPK. Today, alumni don’t have any power except to be concerned and empathize,” he added.

He explained several names of alumni who conveyed moral support to KPK employees, including former Deputy Chairperson of the KPK Laode M. Syarif; former spokesperson for the Corruption Eradication Commission who was also the acting head of the institution, Johan Budi; former Advisor to the KPK, Mohammad Tsani Annafari; former KPK investigator, Hendrik Natalus Christian; and so forth.
