Fire in Pademangan, north of Jakarta, killed 3 people in one family. The victims were her mother and her two children.
The bodies of the three victims were found after firefighters put out the fire on Saturday (10/22/2022) at 19:30 WIB. The fire broke out when a witness heard a commotion around his residence in Jl Kebon Pisang, Pademangan, north of Jakarta.
The fire is thought to have originated from a short circuit on the second floor of the rented house where the witness lived. The fire grew and burned 8 other semi-permanent houses.
Upon receipt of the report, the firefighters intervened on the spot. There were 20 fire engine units that were deployed.
“The fire caused the interruption of operations of Tanjung Priok KRL, Kampung Bandan, because the train tracks were blocked by fire hoses and equipment,” said Pademangan Kompol Police Chief Happy Saputra, quoted by Antara on Sunday. (23/10).

1. The family dies
Happy explained that the three victims were family. I am a mother with the initials A (28), children AF (10) and ANZ (5).
“According to information from local residents that the victim could not be saved, because the fire had grown by that time, the victims were sleeping soundly,” Happy said.
2. Presumably due to short circuit
Officers revealed temporary suspicion of this Pademangan fire. The fire is thought to have been triggered by an electrical short or short circuit.
“The alleged cause of the forecast of a short circuit,” said the head of the fire operations section of North Jakarta Abdul Wahid in his statement on Sunday (23/10).
Abdul Wahid said there are 25 families affected by the disaster fire this. Meanwhile, the loss is estimated at Rp 500 million.
“The estimated loss is Rp. 500 million,” he said.
