This case started when Gus Nur appeared in a video on the YouTube MUNJIAT Channel. In the video, Gus Nur is seen chatting with Refly Harun. The video was uploaded on October 16, 2020.
Gus Nur offended NU which he thought had changed. This statement is considered insulting to NU.

1. Crowds Reported in the District
Chairman of the board of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) Cirebon Branch Azis Hakim reported Gus Nur to Bareskrim. Gus Nur was reported because he was deemed to have insulted NU.
The report numbered LP / B / 0596 / X / 2020 / BARESKRIM dated 21 October 2020. Azis said that his party reported the alleged criminal act of hate speech and / or hate speech through electronic media.
The legal authority of NU Cirebon, Saleh, said that his party suspected Gus Nur of two articles in the ITE Law (UU). “We report Article 27 paragraph 3 of the ITE Act, Article 28 paragraph 2 of the ITE Act, which is a threat if the two are 4 years old, which is 28 paragraphs 2, 6 years,” he said.
