4G navigation service interrupted in Cuba due to technical problems

The 4G Internet browsing service is interrupted in most of the telephones in Cuba due to technical problems, reported the communications monopopio ETECSA.

“4G browsing is affected in all numbers, with the exception of 53 and 54,” said the Cubacel company on Twitter.

“In the case of LTE Packages and Vouchers, and the LTE Daily Exchange that expire today, their validity will be extended. 3G navigation is maintained,” the statement added.

ETECSA assured that they are working on solving the problem but did not give an estimate of the time it could take.

Many users began to detect failures and problems to access the network of networks this Wednesday on the island, and criticized ETECSA’s services.

“At last I know it was not my phone. They must be quicker to inform the people. Thank you,” commented one client.

“If nobody reports it, they are not fortune tellers, they have been reporting it for less than 1 hour,” added another.

“ETECSA makes people think that the problem is the phone. I restarted it, turned it off, took out the SIM, put on airplane mode. I threw it to the ground. It’s already a lot of you,” said another user.

Meanwhile, the Telecommunications engineer and deputy director of the company, Frank Pavón Carbonell, reported that technicians are working to expand GSM 3G cellular coverage in the country.

ETECSA has also received criticism these days after temporarily suspend services of the Transfermóvil payment platform.
