The Swiss are into SUVs. Cars with 4×4 drive and automat are particularly in demand. And the fact that hybrid models in particular are gaining ground in new cars is due to their efficiency. “Suzuki is made for Switzerland,” says Stefan Gass. The managing director of Suzuki Schweiz AG adds: “Suzuki builds cars for the people, for every taste, every need and of course for every budget.”

It all started in 1981 with a small, red off-roader called the LJ80. This was practically the first SUV on Swiss roads. This marked the beginning of the Japanese manufacturer’s success story in Switzerland. In the 40 years around 180,000 vehicles were sold. The few specialist dealers from the first year have now grown into a network of over 210 garages that sell Suzuki cars.

Suzuki Switzerland is also doing well on two wheels: Since the beginning of 2020, they have been responsible for the import and sale of Suzuki motorcycles and scooters and now have the entire product range of the Japanese manufacturer on offer.
