4 gold medals at the French championships for Manon Venturi from Bastia

The young woman from Bastia particularly shone in the Elite category throughout this Easter weekend in Touraine.
“Four gold medals and one bronze, yes we can say that it is exceptional” she admitted the day after these two particularly fruitful days punctuated by 2 gold medals in duet (technical event and free program), 2 team gold medals still in technical and free and a bronze in the individual test.

A fine track record for the second year student at the Aix-en-Provence high school where she has been perfecting her technique for 4 years at the hope center of the Pays d’Aix Natation, flagship of French synchronized swimming, which belongs to the Parcours d’ Sports Excellence (PES) of the French Swimming Federation.

“I take the second class in the morning. In the afternoon between 3 and 5 hours of swimming are on our program” underlines the young girl who today only has Paris and a date – 2024 – in mind.
“I dream of being there. It’s not going to be easy because the Tokyo generation is still there, but I’m going to do everything I can to get there” supports Manon who, strong from her last performances, maintains high hopes for her near future in the tricolor.

“But I have doubts too”, she admits, recalling that the residents of the France club are 2 years older than her.
But the fact that this French team will also soon come to the Pôle France in Aix-en-Provence could enable it to achieve this objective. “In any case, this visit will offer me more possibilities to achieve my goal”.

While waiting for Manon, Venturi – who has already worn the tricolor jersey – will be in June and August 2022 at the meetings of the European and World Championships with this French team in which she could still appear for Paris 2024. .
Previously the Bastiaise, who is enjoying a few days of vacation in her hometown, will have to immerse herself in her Aix atmosphere.
“At first the separation from the family and the fact of finding myself alone were difficult to bear. But here everything is linked very quickly and we don’t have much time to think about anything other than studies and to the nation” underlines Manon who admits all the same that the hardest “is yet to leave again after the holidays…”
