The police seized 3,700 kilos of illegal fireworks in Tilburg. A 42-year-old man from Amersfoort and a 45-year-old man from Wijchen were arrested.
The fireworks were already discovered on Thursday, but the find was released today.
Detectives saw a truck that had been reported stolen because the vehicle had not been returned after rental. Moments later, two men appeared and opened a container near the truck, took out cardboard boxes and lifted them into the truck. The boxes had explosion hazard warning labels.
The detectives arrested the two men. The boxes contained a total of 3,700 kilos of illegal professional fireworks, reports Broadcasting Brabant. The origin of the illegal fireworks is being investigated.
