338 PMK Cases Found in Banjarnegara, Officers Pick Up Soccer Perform Vaccination

COUNTRY – Animal health officers from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Security (DP2KP) Banjarnegara Regency, pick up the ball to vaccinate livestock. This step is taken to prevent the spread of mouth and nail disease (PMK).

Ahead of the celebration of Eid al-Adha this time, in the Banjarnegara Regency, 338 cases were found PMK. Animal health officers from DP2KP Banjarnegara Regency, immediately went to the cages owned by the breeders, to carry out vaccinations.

The animal health officer of the Banjarnegara DP2KP, Taufik Hidayat, said that this resident’s cattle vaccination was carried out to prevent the outbreak of the disease. PMK ahead of Eid al-Adha.

“Cattle that can be vaccinated are at least two months old, or not pregnant. The vaccine is given twice,” said Taufik Hidayat. Banjarnegara Regency, gets vaccine allocation PMK 1,200 doses.

Data from the DP2KP of Banjarnegara Regency, currently there are 150 cows that have successfully recovered from the disease PMK. While the rest are still in the process of handling and quarantine, and seven cows were forced to be slaughtered.

Nasum, a cattle farmer in Banjarnegara Regency, hopes that through this vaccination, his cows can be saved from the epidemic. PMK. “We hope that during Eid al-Adha, we will be able to sell healthy cows for sacrifice,” he said.
