Hello everyone and welcome to our LIVE LIVE of the eighteenth stage of the Vuelta a España 2021, the 162.6 km Salas-Altu d’El Gamoniteiru. Today’s will be the last big stage of this edition of the great Iberian stage race with his team quattro GPM split along a total height difference that goes over 45,000 meters. The latter will act as a forerunner towards the GPM of first category of the Alto de la Cobertoria with his 7.9 kilometers at 8.6% and a second more technical part with peaks of 14%.

A 13-kilometer descent will lead you to approximately 25 kilometers of plain, before approaching the second category with bonus of the Altu la Sega or the Cordal with its 12.2 kilometers at 3.8%. This will be the preamble to the dreaded final climb to the Alto de El Gamoniteiru, a deadly rise of special category 14.6 kilometers long with an average gradient of 9.8%: Infinity. Almost the entire climb is between 10 and 11% with peaks of 17% in its last 600 meters before the finish line.

After yesterday’s amazing victory, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) he is called to control the race without risking too much; given his excellent advantage over everyone in the overall standings.
