Gleichzeitig werde die Polizei in manchen Bereichen entlastet, weil es weniger Großereignisse wie Demonstrationen oder Straßenfeste gebe.
Der Chef der Kriminalpolizei, LKA-Leiter Christian Steiof, sagte, die Polizei habe am Wochenende 132 Objekte geschlossen. «Diese Dinge werden jetzt verstetigt.» Die Umsetzung der neuen Verordnung gehöre aktuell zu den Kernbereichen der Arbeit der Polizei. (dpa)
Berliner Theatertreffen wegen Coronavirus abgesagt
Der Kampf gegen die Verbreitung des Coronavirus bringt die nächste Absage einer hochkarätigen Kulturveranstaltung. Das vom 1. bis 17. Mai geplante 57. Berliner Theatertreffen findet nicht statt, wie die Berliner Festspiele als Veranstalter am Montag mitteilten.
Betroffen ist auch das 41. Theatertreffen der Jugend (22. bis 30. Mai). «Wir bedauern diese Absagen sehr und danken für das Verständnis für diese unumgängliche Entscheidung», hieß es.
DRK sucht Räume für Blutspenden
Die Schließung von Schulen, Kitas und anderen Einrichtungen wegen des Coronavirus sorgt bei den Blutspendediensten des Deutschen Roten Kreuzes für weniger Spendemöglichkeiten. „Lang geplante Blutspendetermine müssen nun kurzfristig abgesagt werden und das hat wiederum Folgen für die Versorgung mit Blutkonserven“, sagt die Sprecherin für Berlin und Brandenburg, Kerstin Schweiger, am Montag der Deutschen Presse-Agentur.
Ihr Appell an die Berliner und Brandenburger: Wer geeignete Räume kennt, solle sich bitte melden. Laut Schweiger sammeln die Blutspendedienste des DRK in Berlin und Brandenburg zu 90 Prozent Blutkonserven bei mobilen Einsätzen in Schulen, Kitas, Seniorenheimen oder auch Behörden. „Diese Möglichkeiten brechen uns jetzt nach und nach weg“, sagte Schweiger. Das DRK ist bei Blutspenden der größte Anbieter in Deutschland. Viele Kliniken haben eigene Blutspendedienste. Es gibt auch private Anbieter. (dpa)
Corona-Infizierte bei Polizei und Feuerwehr
Um die Ausbreitung des Coronavirus zu erschweren, will Berlin nun auch Versammlungen unter freiem Himmel mit mehr als 50 Teilnehmern untersagen. Eine entsprechende Rechtsverordnung werde am morgigen Dienstag erlassen, sagte Innensenator Andreas Geisel (SPD) am Montag im Innenausschuss des Abgeordnetenhauses. Die Verordnung werde zunächst bis zum 19. Oder 20. April gelten.
Bis Montag, Stand 4 Uhr, gab es laut Geisel 283 bestätigte Corona-Fälle in Stadt. „Die Zahlen steigen also weiter an. Wir behalten uns deshalb weitere notwendige Entscheidungen für Rechtverordnungen und Ähnliches vor.“
Inzwischen beeinträchtigt das Virus auch die Arbeit von Polizei und Feuerwehr. Am Sonntag, 17 Uhr gab es bei der Berliner Polizei insgesamt 307 von Coronavirus Betroffene. Bei sieben Mitarbeitern wurden Infektionen bestätigt, bei 95 amtsärztlich Quarantäne angeordnet. 202 wurden vorsorglich isoliert, drei Mitarbeiter kehrten inzwischen den Dienst zurück.
