“I am pleased that my work in the Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly is bearing fruit. As its member, I would like to encourage all citizens of my constituency to get involved in the encounter with our French neighbors. The Franco-German Citizens Fund, which goes back to the 2019 Aachen Treaty between Germany and France, was set up in April 2020 with an annual budget of 2.4 million euros, and is financed in equal parts by the German government and the French government -French Youth Office (DFJW) implemented. He advises, networks and finances projects that make Franco-German friendship and Europe tangible for the general public. It promotes a variety of formats and topics, has a low threshold and is open to all actors in civil society. “
