A fire in a single-family house in Bremen-Vegesack caused a fire brigade to be deployed on Sunday evening. As the fire brigade announced, the fire broke out in the kitchen of the building in the Grohn district. According to the information, furnishings there had caught fire for an as yet unexplained cause.
When the firefighters arrived, the house was already smoky. Three residents suffered smoke inhalation, and two of them were taken to hospital. A total of around 60 firefighters were involved in the operation. About 30 minutes after alerting the fire brigade, the emergency services had brought the fire under control.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire
It is still unclear how great the damage is. The police have taken over the investigation into the cause of the fire.
