The number of new corona infections in Hamburg continues to decline. According to the Hamburg social authority, 279 new corona cases were registered on Friday – 258 fewer than a week ago and 45 fewer than on Thursday.
However, the number from Friday may not be complete, said a spokesman for the social welfare agency. Because of a software update, it could be that some cases were not taken into account. These would then be added on Saturday.
Incidence value drops to 117.2
The number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days has fallen further to 117.2, according to the information. A week ago the value was 149.1. According to the social authority, a total of 42,355 people in Hamburg have tested positive for the corona virus since the pandemic began. According to estimates by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), around 33,400 of these can now be regarded as recovered.
17 more deaths
The number of deaths in Hamburg in connection with a SARS-Cov2 infection has risen significantly again: According to the RKI, it is currently 882 – 17 more than last reported. 539 corona patients are currently being treated in Hamburg’s hospitals, 10 fewer than the day before. 93 of them are receiving intensive medical care, 7 less than last.
