The Chicago Tribune reports that Alexandria Baute was shot dead Tuesday when she queued up at a 7-Eleven market to buy cigarettes, with the appropriate clearance.
According to the report, a friend who wanted to queue up with the blonde went on to hook up his bike. When he turned around, he saw the woman sink to the ground.
“He thought she had stumbled,” the young lady’s father reports to the US news media. But when he rolled the fallen woman over to the side, blood oozed from her mouth.
Paramedics tried to revive buildings. She was taken to a hospital where she was eventually pronounced dead.
It is believed that someone fired the shots at a building a few blocks away.
However, a perpetrator has not yet been caught. According to the police, it should be an open investigation, so far there is no description of the perpetrator.
A total of eight murders are said to have been the worst crime day in two years.
