26 Cipayung residents have contracted dengue fever since January 2021

Jakarta (ANTARA) – As many as 26 residents of Cipayung District, East Jakarta, have contracted dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) from January to mid-April 2021.

Head of Cipayung Sub-District Fajar Eko Satrio said that the number of residents infected with dengue is spread across eight urban villages in Cipayung District.

“In January there were six cases of dengue fever, in February five cases, March 11 cases and April 4 cases,” said Fajar when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday.

Fajar detailed the most additional DHF cases in March with a total of 11 residents from five sub-districts.

Two cases in Kelurahan Cipayung, one case in Kelurahan Pondok Ranggon, four cases in Kelurahan Lubang Buaya, two cases in Kelurahan Bambu Apus and two cases in Kelurahan Setu.

Meanwhile, the additional DHF cases in January 2021 came from three sub-districts, namely one in Cipayung Village, two in Lubang Buaya Village and three in Bambu Apus Village.

Meanwhile, the five cases in February 2021 came from four sub-districts, namely one in Cipayung Village, one in Lubang Buaya Village, one in Ceger Village, then Bambu Apus and Setu Villages.

Fajar said that there have been no cases of death in his area due to dengue fever.

He also added that his party had socialized clean living habits to the community to prevent diseases caused by the Aedes Aegypti mosquito.

“We will socialize PSN (mosquito nest eradication) and 3M (draining water reservoirs, closing water reservoirs, and burying used goods),” he said.
