In the operation carried out in Adana, Bursa, Rize, Samsun, Trabzon and Nevşehir in Istanbul for the arrest of 25 people, 25 of the 27 suspects were detained. Among the suspects, it was learned that 9 police officers, doctors, research assistants, teachers and news agency employees, 9 of whom are still active. It was stated that 2 suspects who had a detention order fled abroad before. It is stated that the studies are continuing.

In the digital data of the police officer İsmail Hakkı Sarıcaoğlu, who martyred Altuğ Verdi who refused his appointment request and injured Personnel Branch Manager Ercan Polat, his connection with some FETÖ members was determined. It has been suggested that Sarıcaoğlu, whose FETÖ structuring has been deciphered, is in the category of “The organization has previously participated in the chats of the organization but then disconnected”.

THE SAME CATEGORY WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF KARLOV
It is investigated whether the murder of Altuğ Verdi, which FETO members try to show as the “torturer police director”, was carried out by Sarıcoğlu’s individual decision or by an order of the organization. It was revealed that the suspect Mert Mevlüt Altıntaş, who killed Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov, was also in the same category as Sarıcaoğu in the FETÖ filing list. It was stated that the similarity of the suspects’ situation between the two murders revealed the possibility of an organization’s order.
ERDOĞAN PROTECTED THE HOUSE
Before being appointed as the Rize Police Chief, Altuğ Verdi, who was the Chief of Police in Üsküdar, had taken security measures around Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s home in Kısıklı in the July 15 coup attempt. Verdi, in which FETO members tried to be launched as “torturer police”, was appointed as Rize Police Chief in 2017.
