233 medals at the Loire Valley wine competition in Angers

On Thursday April 21, at the Jean Monnier congress center in Angers, the fifth edition of the Loire Valley wine competition rewarded the best AOP (Protected Designation of Origin) and IGP (Protected Geographical Indication) cuvées from the Loire vineyards.

Following a strict protocol, 80 trained jurors tasted and scored on a digital tablet 725 samples, mostly from the 2021 vintage, exceptional for its freshness, its crunchiness and its beautiful aromatic expressionsrelates InterLoire, the interprofessional organization of Loire Valley wines.

Vineyard Ambassadors

They distinguished 233 cuvées: 130 gold medals, 81 silver medals, 22 bronze medals.

This list represents the diversity and typicality of our wines, in terms of freshness, balance and delicacy. The gold medalists will be our ambassadors throughout the yearspecifies Pierre-Jean Sauvion, president of the communication commission of InterLoire.
