Police in northern Italy are looking for a 21-year-old Dutchman suspected of stabbing his own father and a family friend to death, the Italian news agency ANSA reports. The stabbing was in the town of Montaldo di Mondovì, in Valle Corsaglia, in the province of Cuneo. The Dutchman would have psychological problems.

According to the Italian news agency, the suspect was a guest at the house of a friend of his father for a holiday. For unknown reasons, a quarrel broke out in the afternoon, in which he allegedly attacked his father with a knife. The owner of the house, a 59-year-old Dutchman, intervened and was seriously injured. He later died in hospital in Turin.

The suspect then fled and dozens of police officers are looking for him between the houses and farms in the vast wooded area. According to ANSA, a helicopter flew around for a long time trying to spot him.

The police consider the Dutchman very dangerous and are asking people in Montaldo Mondovì and surrounding villages to be wary. They should call 911 if they see him. The Dutchman is also being sought in the villages of Roburent, Monastero di Vasco, San Giacomo di Roburent and Vicoforte.
