Real count presidential election (Presidential election) 2024 on the General Election Commission (KPU) page appears to be slowing down. From Thursday (22/2) to Monday (26/2) the increase in calculation progress was only around 2.12 percent.

Based on monitoring CNNIndonesia.com which was accessed at 23.45 WIB, the latest counting data on Monday (26/2) as of 23.00 WIB had progress of 637,005 from 823,236 polling stations (TPS) or 77.38 percent.

Meanwhile, calculation data on February 22 2024 at 23.00. The data progress displayed is 619,579 from 823,236 polling stations (TPS) or 75.26 percent.

Chairman of the Indonesian KPU, Hasyim Asy’ari, explained that his party was continuing the process of synchronizing. This means that the vote count cannot run quickly, so it seems hampered.

“Why aren’t the developments broadcast, for example, because there are still things that are not yet in sync. So those who are not in sync should postpone it first and continue with what is in sync,” said Hasyim in a press conference at the Indonesian KPU Office, Friday (23/2).

Based on the latest data displayed by the KPU, candidate pair (paslon) number 2 Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka was recorded as superior to the other two candidate pairs.

Prabowo-Gibran received 75,027,387 votes or 58.84 percent of the total votes cast by the KPU.

The second position is followed by candidate pair number 1 Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar who has collected 31,187,532 votes or 24.46 percent.

Meanwhile, candidate pair number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD was in third position with 21,293,053 votes or 16.7 percent.

The vote count recapitulation by the KPU will continue until March 20, since it started on February 15.

Referring to Law Number 17 of 2017 article 413 paragraph (1), it is stated that the determination of the results of the Presidential Election will be carried out nationally no later than 35 days after the voting results.

This is in accordance with the recapitulation schedule for the vote count results stipulated in the Republic of Indonesia KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Stages and Schedule for the 2024 General Election.

So, the schedule for announcing the results of the 2024 presidential election is estimated to be no later than March 20.

Meanwhile, the determination of election results is no later than three days after receiving a notification letter or decision from the Constitutional Court if there is no request for a dispute over the election results.

If there is a request for a difference in election results, the determination will be made no later than three days after the reading of the Constitutional Court decision.

If the election lasts for one round, the oath/promise of the president and vice president will take place as scheduled on Sunday, October 20 2024.
