“2023 SEA Games Parade: Jakarta Welcomes the Indonesian Contingent”

Parade buses National team U-22 and the 2023 SEA Games Champion has passed through the Sudirman area. Crowds of residents took to the streets to welcome the Indonesian contingent.

Monitoring at the location, Friday (19/5/2023), the traffic began to be engineered by the police at around 09.15 WIB. Residents who were originally on the sidewalk began to crowd the main road.

Hundreds of residents seemed to be waiting for the arrival of the Indonesian contingent who was competing in the 2023 SEA Games wearing red and white T-shirts. They were also seen carrying red and white balloons and flags. Meanwhile, a number of motorbike clubs were seen preparing to escort the arrival of the 2023 SEA Games contingent.

When the group arrived at around 09.25 WIB, a number of residents lit fires flare. They were also seen swarming the group’s car.

Members of the U-22 national team were seen waving to residents. “Indonesia… Indonesia… Indonesia,” shouted the residents.

Until now, the traffic flow at the Lower Dam is still closed. Residents are also still at the location.
