This competition is hosted by the Ningde Municipal People’s Government, organized by the Ningde Municipal Sports Bureau, the Jiaocheng District People’s Government, and the Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone Management Committee, and the Chinese Athletics Association provides technical certification.

At 7:30 a.m., with the sound of the starting gun, nearly 10,000 runners rushed out of the starting line and started a fierce competition along the carefully designed track among green mountains and green waters. The runway passes through the city, and the water, light and mountains are integrated, and the city’s landmarks and scenic spots can be seen at a glance. The track connects Ningde landmarks such as the Jinma Bridge, Tashan Park, Jingtai Mountain Park, Ningde Sports Center, and Ningde Lithium Battery New Energy Scenic Area. At the same time, through various forms, the folk culture and customs nurtured by China’s excellent traditional culture are expressed on the marathon track, allowing runners to feel the profound cultural heritage and artistic atmosphere of Ningde.

After fierce competition, DONALD KIMARUBIWOTT from Kenya won the men’s full marathon championship in 2 hours, 24 minutes and 51 seconds, and MURUGI ANGELA NGENDO from Kenya won the women’s marathon championship in 2 hours, 49 minutes and 29 seconds. Ismo Ayeniu Alem from Ethiopia won the men’s half marathon championship in 1 hour, 06 minutes and 29 seconds, and Mengesha Adana Amma from Ethiopia won the championship in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 32 seconds. Won the women’s half marathon championship.

It is worth mentioning that Yu Chao, a player from Jiaocheng, Ningde, won the third place in the men’s full marathon in 2 hours, 25 minutes and 22 seconds, setting the best marathon result among Ningde players this year.

The reporter learned that the top 10 men and women in the Ningde Marathon full-marathon and half-marathon will be rewarded. The highest single-marathon bonus is 30,000 yuan, and the half-marathon highest bonus is 8,000 yuan. The event also specially added a “Ningde Citizen Award” to encourage local players to sign up for the competition. Ningde sports stars were also invited to participate in the event to promote an optimistic and enterprising sports culture and further promote the national fitness craze in Ningde City.

In this competition, the Ningde Municipal Government and the organizing committee have equipped the event with 1,300 public security and traffic police officers, and 1,000 security personnel. They have set up 23 fixed medical stations along the track, arranged 18 ambulances, 278 medical staff, and first aid personnel. 22 runners, 440 medical volunteers and 50 AED equipment jointly ensured the safety of the event.
