The 2023 Archery World Cup season is set to take place, and the world’s best archers are ready to compete for potential spots at the Olympic Games. This season’s World Cup stages are an indirect qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympics, offering points towards the Archery World Rankings that will determine two Olympic Games team quotas for both men and women by the 24 June 2024 rankings. There will be four stages on the 2023 calendar, with stops in Türkiye, the People’s Republic of China, Colombia, and France, before a season-ending World Cup Final in Mexico.

The fourth stage of the 2023 Archery World Cup will be held over two different venues, with the qualifications and finals being held at separate sites, and the finals will be held in Les Invalides, Paris, as an official Olympic Games test event. The event will feature both recurve and compound events, but only recurve archers will earn Olympic qualification ranking points, as the compound bow is not shot in Olympic competitions.

The Republic of Korea’s Kim Woojin and An San are the defending men’s and women’s recurve World Cup champions, while Dutchman Mike Schloesser and Colombian Sara López were the compound World Cup winners last year. Kim and An will be figures to watch again this season as the Republic of Korea hopes to continue their domination of recurve archery.

Each stage of the Archery World Cup will feature 10 events, including men’s and women’s recurve individual, men’s and women’s compound individual, men’s and women’s recurve team, men’s and women’s compound team, and mixed team events in both recurve and compound. The top 32 athletes in each event at each stage will earn points, and bonus points can be earned by finishing in the top eight during the qualification round. The World Cup champions will be decided through the standalone Final in Hermosillo, Mexico, for which each individual stage winner and the next best archers from the World Cup Ranking qualify, with eight athletes (maximum two per team) in each individual event competing in the Final.

Fans around the world can watch all stages of the Archery World Cup events live on Olympics.com, subject to geographical restrictions, while other broadcasters (live and delayed) include SPOTV in the Republic of Korea and across Southeast Asia, Eurosport in Europe, TRT Spor in Türkiye, CCTV in China, Claro Sports in Latin America, and Sony TEN in India.
