POLITICS – Many in their city and even more nationally will discover their faces in the days to come. The second round of the 2020 municipal elections has brought up a lot of new faces. Particularly on the left, where environmentalists have succeeded in triumph in eight cities of more than 100,000 inhabitants.
Two personalities particularly embody this green wave: Michèle Rubirola in Marseille and Grégory Doucet in Lyon. But we could also mention Jeanne Barseghian in Strasbourg or Pierre Hurmic in Bordeaux.
The Socialist Party also won some victories with its quadras: Mathieu Klein delights Nancy in the center-right while in Montpellier, Michaël Delafosse beat the outgoing mayor Philippe Saurel.
