A 19-year-old man from Rosmalen was arrested in Den Bosch last night after he threw heavy fireworks at an officer. Some things happened at the Parade in the city. The fireworks exploded a very short distance from the officer, he was not injured and is doing well under the circumstances. The arrested man is suspected of attempted serious assault on a police officer.
This happened when heavy fireworks were set off from a group on the Parade. Finally, fireworks were also thrown at a police officer. Officers chose to ask the group from a distance, using a megaphone, to leave the Parade. When there was no response several times, officers formed a line to force the group to leave. This succeeded, although the group continued to resist, according to the police.
