A police officer from the 1st police station was on his way home on Sunday evening (03.10.) At 6:20 p.m. after his duty and saw a Citroen car driving on Schleiermacherstrasse, which was reported as stolen at the 1st station yesterday, Saturday had been. When the car was parked in the Pali parking lot, the officer spoke to the driver and identified himself as a police officer. The driver stayed in the vehicle for a moment, but then fled on foot when the first patrol car arrived. With the support of other colleagues, he was arrested after a short pursuit on the adjacent Luisenplatz. He carried a color copy of an allegedly misappropriated driver’s license of a 70-year-old. The stolen Citroen was seized and will be returned to the owner after the forensic investigation has been completed. A stolen e-scooter was found in the car. The 17-year-old was handed over to his father after the initial police measures.
