“16-year-old boy snatched by men with Irish accents in Slough”

Thames Valley Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the abduction of a 16-year-old boy on Saturday 17 April in Slough, Berkshire. The teenager was walking along Warwick Avenue when a black Mini car pulled up alongside him at around 4pm. Three men, all with Irish accents, jumped out of the vehicle and forced him into the car. The victim was then driven towards Canterbury Avenue before being released ten minutes later. Despite his ordeal, the teenager was not injured in the incident.

Police have issued a description of the vehicle and occupants in the hope that it may lead to information from witnesses. The car is described as a black Mini Clubman with a red roof, two red stripes running across the top and dark alloys. The driver is a white male thought to be in his twenties with short, dark hair and was wearing black clothing. The man in the passenger seat is also a white male in his twenties with short, dark hair. He was wearing a grey puffa-style hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a 1-metre item thought to have been either a knife or a stick.

One of the backseat passengers is a white man in his twenties with short, brown hair and who is approximately 5’9” tall. He is of a slim/muscular build and was wearing a red short-sleeved t-shirt, black trousers and black and white trainers. The other back seat passenger is also a white male in his twenties with short, black hair and who is approximately 5’9” tall. He was wearing a long-sleeved black jumper and black tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Ashley Jones, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who has information about what happened to please come forward. We would also appeal to any motorists who were in the local area around the time of the incident to please check dash-cam footage in case it may have captured something that could assist the investigation. Additionally, please could any residents in the vicinity of Warwick Avenue and Canterbury Avenue with CCTV also review any footage and get in touch if you believe it may have captured anything that could help the investigation.”
