Al-Marsad Newspaper: A new report released by the American Association for Cancer Research has revealed that the number of people dying from this disease in the United States has decreased.

The report stated that the number of survivors has risen more than ever, indicating the types of cancer that have seen a greater decrease in the death rate and the reasons that led to this.

The report indicated that the most common diseases are lung, breast, colorectal and prostate cancer, noting that between 1991 and 2019 there was a 32% decrease in the cancer death rate in the states. United, and that means 3.5 million people were saved.

The report added: Over the past three years, the number of people surviving a cancer diagnosis has increased by over one million and that in January there are 16 million survivors of the disease in the United States.

The report also states that there were only 3 million cancer survivors in the United States in 1971.
