12 new deaths from coronavirus confirmed and 1,363 fatalities in Argentina

The new deceased are six men, five of them who lived in the province of Buenos Aires and were 53, 54, 59, 68 and 90 years old, and one 77-year-old with residence in Chaco; and six women: four from the province of Buenos Aires, aged 83, 88, 94 and 101, and two from the City of Buenos Aires, aged 57 and 64.

The rate of virus lethality is 2% while the general mortality is 29.8% out of a total of 67,197 confirmed cases.

The total occupation of intensive care beds in the country is 50.6%, while in the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires that number rises to 55.9%.

The good news is that 24,186 people who had the virus recovered and were discharged, representing almost 36% of the 67,197 confirmed positive cases.

Of the new cases, more than 90% were reported in the AMBA and of the 594 patients hospitalized in the so-called critical beds with a confirmed diagnosis of coronavirus, more than 93% are in the Buenos Aires metropolitan region.

Regarding the epidemiological situation, the Secretary of Access to Health, Carla Vizzotti, warned that on Wednesday “only seven provinces did not confirm cases and only three did not present cases in the last 14 days and they are San Luis, Santa Cruz and Santiago del Estero, which means, as he specified, that “there are outbreaks by conglomerate.”
