12 foci of contamination (or clusters) have been identified in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region since the start of deconfinement, on May 11, according to a last report from Public Health France.

4 of the 12 outbreaks are considered to be under control. There was no new case 7 days after the last case.

Of the 12 clusters :

– 10 outbreaks of contamination in an extended family environment

  • 2 in Ain
  • 1 in Cantal
  • 1 in Drôme / Ardèche
  • 1 in Haute-Loire
  • 1 in Isère
  • 4 in the Rhône

-2 clusters in health facilities

  • 1 in the Allier
  • 1 in Savoie

Currently, at the regional level, the most important cluster under investigation is the extended family cluster in Drôme / Ardèche, totaling 56 cases. The main focus of this cluster is located in Ardèche (46/56 cases) “, specifies Public Health France.

In Aubenas, on 24/06, a population screening campaign organized by the ARS took place in order to identify possible other cases, notably asymptomatic, to stop the chains of transmission.

The epidemic, for the moment, under control in the region

Despite these sources of contamination, the epidemic is currently under control in the region. “More than a month after the start of deconfinement, the epidemiological indicators continue their downward trends or stabilize at low levels. Monitoring does not identify any signal resumption of the epidemic“, specifies Public Health France.
