The police found prohibited fireworks, kilos of drugs and drug-related items during a raid on a house on Guido Gezellelaan in Bergen op Zoom. Officers raided there after several anonymous reports came in about nuisance caused by the resident.
Because according to the police there was a chance that the resident would get rid of evidence, officers forced a door during the raid. Once inside, they saw drugs on the table. In total, almost five kilograms of amphetamine and 60 grams of hemp were seized. There were also 30 kilograms of illegal fireworks and various tools that may have been stolen. The latter is still under investigation. The resident has been arrested and is still in custody.
