In the past 24 hours, almost 300 tests have been carried out for COVID-19 in Suriname. A total of 11 new cases have emerged from this. This is evident from the update of the figures on Saturday evening on the official COVID-19 website of the Surinamese government.
There are currently 23 people in the hospital, of which 7 are being treated in intensive care. In the past 24 hours, 6 people have been cured, so that the total number of active cases in Suriname is currently 41. That’s 3 more than yesterday when the number of active cases was 38.
Most new infections come from Wanica (5) followed by Paramaribo (3). The number of people who died from the effects of COVID-19 is since October 16 no longer increased and stable at 109.
