101-year-old woman survives coronavirus in New York – World

Mohegan Lake, New York. A 101-year-old American woman who was born at the time of the Spanish Fever had the coronavirus and was cured.

Angelina Friedman, a resident of a Lake Mohegan nursing home in New York state, was taken to the hospital for a minor procedure on March 21, but the appointment was postponed when she tested positive for Covid-19.

After suffering from a fever intermittently for a few weeks, the 101-year-old woman, who has also survived cancer, tested negative for the coronavirus on April 20, WPIX-TV reported.

“My mother is a survivor,” declared her daughter Joanne Merola, “she has superhuman DNA.”

The woman was born on the ship that carried her immigrant parents from Italy to New York in 1918. Her mother died giving birth to her. Friedman, who is also a widow, also lost her 10 siblings.
