Parents don’t give up hope

August has passed the middle, and along with the passage of time, passions are heating up over “coronavirus” child benefits of 10,000 rubles in August. They say that school is approaching, but there is still no payment. The editorial mail is inundated with letters in which the main question sounds: “Soon?”

“There is nothing to get a child to school, prices for school supplies have skyrocketed, why are they still not paying the promised allowance of 10 thousand rubles for children from 3 to 16 years old in August?” – this is the leitmotif of the messages, and most people do not ask about whether there will be payments at all, namely, when they will be, and why there are still no payments.
Why do many consider this third tranche “promised”?
Some State Duma deputies are adding fuel to the fire, who, as a personal initiative, declare the need to extend the June-July payments to August. So, at first, Deputy Mikhail Tarasenko said that he supported the idea of paying 10 thousand rubles for children in August, and on August 16, Svetlana Bessarab, a member of the Committee on Social Policy, Labor and Veterans Affairs, spoke about the possibility and desirability of a third wave of payments.
Alas – the deputies can only hope and believe – just like all of us. The State Duma does not have the authority to appoint such benefits, the June and July payments were introduced by presidential decree. So far, there is no information about the third payment in the amount of 10 thousand rubles for a child under 16 years old in August or September, and the president did not speak in any way about this.
However, parents do not give up and continue to actively sign the petition in support of the third payment to prepare for school, which has collected nearly 300,000 signatures to date. Recall that it was posted on July 12, 2020 on one of the popular portals of online initiatives.
One of the reasons fueling rumors that the August allowance must certainly be there is the usual carelessness of our fellow citizens. Thus, one of the parents desperately convinced MK that she had personally read that the Pension Fund (PFR) would transfer 10 thousand to children after August 5. But it turned out that the publication was about the fact that parents who, for various reasons, could not receive the previous payments for June and July, will be able to do so in August.
However, hope dies last: and on the eve of the start of the school year, a rumor appeared that the 10,000 allowance for children under 16 would be paid exactly by September 1, that is, in the last days of August. I don’t want to disappoint people – all of a sudden, such a measure is now being discussed at the top and we cannot completely exclude the possibility of its adoption, everything is possible in our life. However, at the moment there is no official confirmation that any old “anti-crisis” support measures will be extended or new ones introduced. Employees of the Ministry of Labor and the Pension Fund also did not receive any information according to which they should start making payments.
