President Director of PT Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Sebuahutra responding to the positive news of Garuda passengers on the Jakarta-Sorong route Corona (COVID-19). Irfan ensures that his party continues to coordinate with all relevant parties.

“Regarding information that says there are positive COVID-19 passengers on Garuda Indonesia flights, the Jakarta-Sorong route, GA 682, on Saturday (27/6), we can say that Garuda Indonesia together with relevant stakeholders continues to coordinate and intensive communication regarding the follow-up to these conditions in order to ensure that the flight health protocol procedures during the new normal transition period run optimally, “said Irfan in a press statement received on Sunday (6/28/2020).

Irfan also ensured that the plane carrying the initials WY had followed the Corona health protocol. He also said the cabin crew on duty is currently undergoing independent quarantine.

“Garuda Indonesia has also carried out health protocol procedures for the fleet and cabin crew serving on the flight, through fleet disinfection and quarantine procedures independently,” he explained.

“Flight GA 682 on the Jakarta-Sorong route is operated with the application of physical distancing, where the passenger fill rate ranges from 62 percent of the total aircraft capacity,” he added.

He also emphasized that all Garuda passengers on the flight had met the health requirements as stipulated by the COVID-19 Task Force. Garuda, said Irfan, also continued to work together with each party to ensure the implementation of health protocols running optimally for passenger comfort.

“We need to convey that all Garuda Indonesia passengers on the flight have obtained validation and clearance from the authorities, regarding the fulfillment of the health protocol requirements for passengers who will be flying, referring to the provisions of the COVID-19 Task Force,” he explained.
