The first match of the Latvian national football team in the UEFA League of Nations 2020/2021 season will be at home against Andorra on September 3 this year, reports the Association of European Football Federations (UEFA).

Next, the Latvian national team will go to Malta, where it will meet with local footballers on September 6.

In the next term, on October 10, Latvia will visit the Faroe Islands and host Malta on October 13. In the last games of the group, domestic footballers will host the Faroe Islands on November 14 and visit Andorra on November 17.

Four games will start at 21.45 Latvian time, but two – at 19.

Latvia, led by Dainis Kazakevich, will compete in the first group of the UEFA Nations League League D, the winner of which will secure a place in next season’s League C, or in the third level by force. The weakest national teams play in the D league.

As reported, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Latvian national team did not carry out the planned test matches against Montenegro (March 26) and San Marino (March 31).
