Due to the sluggish stock market last year, dividends from funds invested in stocks and bonds decreased by more than 20%.
The Korea Securities Depository announced that last year’s fund profit dividends were 25.2382 trillion won, down 24% from the previous year.
Among them, public funds paid 2.63 trillion won and private equity funds paid 22.6 trillion won, down 27.5% and 23.6%, respectively, from the previous year.
The number of funds that paid dividends was 1,862 public funds and 14,256 private equity funds, down 31.8% and 2.9%, respectively, from the previous year.
