An investigation by the Mainz Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Worms Criminal Inspectorate due to suspected trafficking in narcotics in no small quantity was successfully completed in the 25th calendar week. The investigation is aimed at three men between the ages of 27 and 39 from Worms and the Rhine-Neckar region. Initially, the investigators seized two suspects of over 100 grams of cocaine and 700 grams of amfetamine. In the course of the measures against the third suspect, the investigators were able to locate a depot and secure a total of 42 kilograms of amfetamine. This remarkable find has a street sale value of several hundred thousand euros. Two of the suspects were released after the search was completed and are at large. The third accused was brought before the Mainz Public Prosecutor’s Office on June 22, 2020. The latter issued a pre-trial detention order against the man. Since then he has been in a correctional facility.
