Without having endangered oncoming vehicles, an 81-year-old driver apparently ended up driving the wrong way on the B33 on Sunday morning. According to witness statements, the senior citizen was heading towards Gengenbach at around 9:30 a.m. and was driving in the fast lane in oncoming traffic. An immediate search for the alleged ghost driver was initially unsuccessful. In the evening she was finally found at her home address by officers from the Offenburg police station. In doing so, she admitted the violation.
