A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident on Altenhagener Strasse on Wednesday evening (November 24th, 2021). The 59-year-old was probably hit by a vehicle around 5:45 p.m. in the bus lane near the St. Josefs Kirche stop, but the driver then fled from the scene of the accident. When the police and the rescue service arrived, the man from Hagen was apparently heavily intoxicated and could not provide any information about the accident. He was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses to the accident are asked to call 02331 – 986 2066. (arn)
