As of this morning, September 3, 2018 at 8 a.m., 153 new officials, government employees and administrative officers have been available to serve in the Essen police headquarters. Police President Frank Richter welcomed the new colleagues to the police property on Norbertstrasse.
105 new commissioners have just been transferred from the university to the PP Essen as a career starter. They took their service oath to the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and received the first important information. On the stairs of the former police school, the new team and their superiors presented themselves to the photographer before they received their equipment. From a total of 137 new civil servants, 85 civil servants move into accommodation in Essen, 22 will start their service in Mülheim. The police special services and the directorates crime, traffic and central tasks are also strengthened. Twenty-one civil servants began training abroad for several months so that they could later be deployed to the Essen special forces. Since September 1, 2017, 12 government employees and 5 administrative officers have also been hired. On September 1, 2018, regular officials from other authorities moved to the police headquarters in Essen and others left our authority. We wish all of the colleagues who are now continuing their work elsewhere all the best. In addition, numerous colleagues have retired in the past twelve months. We thank the pensioners for their loyal service and wish them a healthy retirement. We wish all new colleagues a good and successful start – and hopefully undamaged service. / AKoe
