“The idea Ferien-Retter.de came to us very quickly, ”explains CMO Phillip Winter,“ it quickly became clear to all of us that due to the pandemic, many families would either have a summer vacation this year or it would be completely different. ”An offer was supposed to be a time out despite Corona. The key points: safe, healthy, flexible, uncomplicated and affordable. Came out Ferien-Retter.de, a summer special at a flat rate for the whole family.

Whether an adult with a child (up to the age of 17) or two adults with four children, whether parents or grandparents – the complete prices (accommodation including breakfast / bed linen and towels) only vary according to the length of stays: 99 euros for two, 149 for three and 199 euros for four nights.

The offer is valid from June to the end of October in all the a & o Group companies and throughout Europe. When booking, you can also combine stays in different houses. More information at www.ferien-retter.de

Family vacation in the city – excursion tips included

“We want to offer alternatives,” explains Phillip Winter, “City trips are diverse experiences for the whole family.” Daily leisure and excursion tips are part of every holiday rescue offer. In Germany alone, there are 25 houses in 14 cities to choose from: Aachen, Berlin, Bremen, Dortmund, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Weimar. All a & os are centrally located and offer good connections to local public transport. “Summer holidays are also possible this year,” says Winter, “and maybe families will discover their new love for the city.”

Board games, jenga, table tennis tables, buggy and bicycle rentals round off the family offer, so Winter continues.

Families can book the offer directly at www.ferien-retter.de, as well as in travel agencies.

Comprehensive hygiene and safety concept

The safety and health of guests and employees is also top priority for the Berlin budget group: “We have implemented an extensive hygiene and safety concept for our houses, which should enable a carefree stay in every a & o.” Dining and work areas include

 - Plexiglas-Trennscheiben über und auf den Rezeptions-Tresen sowie an den Arbeitstischen;
 - Abstandsmarkierungen auf dem Fußboden – überall dort, wo Warteschlangen möglich sind; 
 - Hinweise per Beamer in den Lobbies; 
 - Desinfektions-Spender in allen öffentlichen Bereichen wie Eingang, Lobby, Frühstücksraum und Toiletten; 
 - Schlafsaal-Belegung 50%, d.h. maximal 4 Personen;  
 - nicht nur Reinigung, sondern vollständige Desinfektion des Raumes nach Abfahrt + Türhänger mit Etikett/Infos;
 - Gästeküchen sowie kids’ corner / Spielecken modifiziert; 
 - anstelle des Frühstücksbuffets bietet a&o zurzeit eine vorgefertigte Frühstücks-Alternative verpackt am Platz an; 
 - dauerhafte Befestigung der Flurzwischentüren, um unnötige Kontakte zu vermeiden;
