Customs officials wanted to check a van on Saturday evening, which was completely crooked. On the Plataanlaan in Melissant, the official gave a stop sign, after which the driver of the van fled. 127 jerry cans of hydrochloric acid and 49 bags of tartaric acid were found on the bus.
After searching the bus, the police raided the sheds. There, agents found another 6,000 liters of hydrochloric acid, which is used in making the drug amphetamine, also known as speed.
