In four prisons in Ecuador, Latin America, a battle for supremacy between criminal gangs has erupted, killing 79 inmates so far.
The riot was suppressed by military and police force.

It is known that many general inmates who were not affiliated with the criminal organization were also known to have died, and their families ran to the prison in one month.

Ecuadorian authorities explained that the two criminal gangs were fighting for leadership in the prison.
In December last year, a few months after being released from a shopping mall, the head of the gang’Los Coneros’ was murdered, and the battle for supremacy between rival organizations in the prison intensified.
In Ecuador, more than 100 inmates were killed last year in fights between criminal gangs in prisons, AFP reports.
