Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia ZTE launched a folding cellphone in the price range of IDR 4 million. That benchmark is much cheaper than most foldable phones launched by a number of other companies.

The folding cellphones released so far are part of the flagship class with prices above IDR 10 million. Oppo, for example, sells the N Find 3 for IDR 16 million.

A similar thing was also found in Samsung, which has launched several generations of cellphones. For the newest generation, the Z Flip 5 is priced starting from IDR 16 million and the Z Fold 5 is priced at IDR 25 million.

But don’t expect premium specifications like those found in other foldable phones. The specs follow the price of the middle class cellphone.

For example, this cellphone does not use a high-end Qualcomm chipset. However, ZTE embedded the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC chipset on this cellphone.

Libero Flip also does not have the ability to survive dust or water. However, the battery has more power, namely 4,310 mAh, bigger than what Samsung offers on the Z Flip 5, namely 3,700 mAh.

For its appearance, the Libero Flip has a circular screen with 466 x 466 pixels. This screen is for accessing widgets and seeing previews when taking selfies.

Around the outer screen there is a ring-like design. This part houses the 50 MP main camera and 2 MP for the depth sensor.

When the cellphone is opened, a 6.9 inch OLED screen opens. There is a 16MP punch-hole camera.

It should be noted, the ZTE Libero Flip is not available in Indonesia.
