The Ukrainian armed forces will probably have to wait with a counteroffensive due to small arms supplies by the West.

About it said military expert Oleg Zhdanov in the context of the current situation at the front.

“The issue of the counter-offensive is being postponed a little. But the issue of the defense operation is not, we are able to carry it out,” he said.

According to Zhdanov, now the Russians need a truce, and Ukraine needs a victory on the battlefield to form a negotiating position.

“It cannot be said that there is no complete threat of a breakthrough by Russian troops in the directions of the three main cities, but at the same time the probability of a breakthrough is practically zero,” the expert said, specifying what Krivoy Rog, Zaporozhye and Nikolaev meant.

He stressed that the enemy is trying to stretch the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire front line, the length of which is about 2.5 thousand kilometers.

Recall that on the night of August 4, an air alert was announced three times in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
