Ismail Youssef, a member of the Zamalek Club, confirmed that his club had reached an agreement two seasons ago with Ahmed Fathi, the Al-Ahly player, to join the team.
Youssef said in statements to the Number One program via Al-Nahar channel, that negotiations with Fathi were easier than her counterpart with Abdullah Al-Saeed, despite the fact that the financial return was less then.
A member of the Zamalek administration said: “The negotiations with Ahmed Fathi were easy, but were much easier than negotiating with Abdullah Al-Saeed, who procrastinated with us a lot and was not resolved with him until after a session with Ahmed and Amir Mortada Mansour.”
He continued: “The financial compensation offered to Ahmed Fathi was much less than that offered to Abdullah Al-Saeed, but he agreed to it.”
He concluded: “Hossam Ashour is a very big player and beneficial to any team, but he did not sign for Zamalek, because the technical staff of us did not seem willing to sign him and that is difficult to transfer to us, but that does not diminish him.”
