A 21 year old man has been condemned, the October 2 last, by the court of Versailles. He had robbed the pavilion of a lady, aged 101, in Mesnil-Saint-Denis (Yvelines).
The theft took place on the night of Sunday January 26, 2020. The thief had forced the garage door. Maybe accompanied by accomplices.
The centenarian, bedridden in her room, had received their visit. The man had not hesitated to grab a gold curb chain she wore on her wrist. Deaf, she had not noticed their presence.
It was only later that his caregiver would find out what had happened. She will also notice that the power had been cut.
Found in prison
Called in, the technical and scientific police will find the burglar’s DNA on a jewelry box and another object.
The analysis made it possible to identify the individual, imprisoned in the remand center of Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine). He was starting a 24-month sentence for similar facts, revealed by the Plaisir police officers.
During his hearings, he denied the facts. He was sentenced to an additional 36 months.
The victim never learned of his arrest. She died two months after her burglary
