Information indicates that the video stream uses the AV01 codec and that it requires an effective bandwidth of at least 26.7 Mbps.
Along with the French of The Explorer, YouTube is one of the few services to offer video content in native 8K Ultra definition. Recall that the democratization of the AV1 should reduce the bandwidth used by video streaming. When it was launched, the Alliance for Open Medias announced a volume gain of 30 to 40% for the AV1 compared to a video encoded in H.265 or VP9, but during the first tests in real conditions carried out by Netflix on smartphones, the American giant announced rather a gain of around 20%.
