The youth team (U-19) of Olympiakos, with an epic turnaround in the 90th minute (2-2 from 0-2), managed to beat the corresponding team of French Lance on penalties (4-2) and qualify for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League .
In the 18th minute Sisuba with a nice individual energy was knocked over just outside the opponent’s area. He took over the execution of the foul and opened the scoring.
In the 52nd minute, Belmon made a very nice individual effort and passed at the right time to Fofanas, who with an ideal finish made it 0-2. Somewhere in there the French slacked off and finally paid for it. In the 56th minute, X. Kostoulas won a penalty which he executed himself and reduced the score to 1-2. And before the visitors had time to recover in the 62nd minute, the Piraeus went up high to press. The goalkeeper Delplas tried to feed his teammate outside the area, but the young Pneumonidis pressed him, countered him and the ball ended up in the net for 2-2 which was to remain until the end of the 90th minute (there is no overtime in the competition, while all matches are single by draw). So the qualification was played on penalties with the cooler Olympiakos winning.
